The project that has everything

The 2023 on-site for Provide had design elements in maybe every application imaginable. The on-site was an internal event where the whole company met in Columbus, Ohio for a few days of talking strategy, team bonding, and learning from each other.

When creating the identity for this, our team gravitated towards the phrase “deepening our roots.” My inspiration and pitch for this led us into playing with line work, textures, and leaning into a funky fun vibe. I used this intro sequence from The Morning Show as a big initial inspiration. This line work style and use of navy as a primary color was brand new for Provide. It was so well received it became a source of influence for where the visual brand went next and is today. This project really allowed me to flex my versatility as well as execution of a single identity across a large variety of deliverables.

Activation

The main meetings and activities for this event were held in a hotel conference room, so making this feel fun and cohesively Provide was important to keeping energy up and people locked in. We wanted people to feel excited and proud to be there. We worked with specialized vendors to create a massive 3D version of the Provide logo (TED Talk-esque.) This was a unique time for some teams, as they might only work remotely with each other. Offering a branded photo backdrop allowed them to take team photos together! The photo backdrop brought in fun shapes with organic materials to dig into the “roots” theme. The hotel allowed us to install temporary vinyl window clings that resembled the line work from the rest of our designs. These cast some amazing shadows in the morning, and helped make this space feel more custom to Provide.

Each team member received a welcome swag box in their hotel room. Each box had a t-shirt in their size, their name badge, an itinerary, local snacks, and a money plant grow kit to take home and grow. The t-shirts were a hit, as people wore them for volunteering events in the months to come. A part of the festivities were team member presentations, in which the top 3 presenters won a laser engraved wooden award.
